Dr Bo Jeffares Sekine

CHAIR

Bo's background links art and literature. Previous cultural experience includes working in universities in Ireland, Scotland and Japan.

Bo is inspired by nature. Her international exhibitions evoke positive elements from our environment such as warm sunlight and clear water; positive symbols.

Books include her early best seller "Landscape Painting", and her holistic "CREATIVITY: Nature and Us. Exploring Green Themes through the Arts".

Bo has loved trees, plants and gardening since childhood days in Australia. She has created a nature reserve, and has a vision for an Educational Tree Centre, to encourage children and young people to love and care for trees. Scientifically valuable, aesthetically pleasing and emotionally healing - trees are essential for both our own survival and for evolving earth care.

Geoff Doo BEng, LCGI

Geoff is a Civil Engineering practitioner with experience in the aviation and highways sectors. He has more recently been lending his hand to property development and management since moving to Cornwall in 2020.

He has always had a desire to be involved with charitable work and has assisted organisations nationally and internationally including Clic Sargent and Medcare as well as maintaining his position as a Trustee of The Zennor Trust in Newlyn.

He has always had a love of traveling and spending time in nature. This time has allowed his respect and appreciation for the importance of the planet’s trees to grow.

Ben Williams ACCA

TREASURER

Ben is a chartered certified accountant, working in Penzance. His passion for wildlife and trees comes from growing up in the countryside.

He is a keen gardener, but his crops vary wildly from year to year. He is particularly interested in ensuring people (especially the young) understand and respect our environment.

Ben is also involved with a charity which helps young people with varying abilities reach their full potential. The group from London visit Cornwall each year and Ben takes the week off to assist them on their adventures.

Community is a big part of Ben's life. He can often be found mucking-in with village events in St. Buryan.
